Gale D. Kraemer, 55, of Newark, De, passed away January 30, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Wilmington, DE on December 17, 1957, Gale was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen Hare Smith. She was a 1976 graduate of Christiana High School and worked at Avon Corporation for over 20 years. Gale loved to travel and enjoyed spending summers at the beach and gardening. She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed by them and her many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Leon Kraemer of Newark; two sons, Leon Kraemer and his wife Sylvia of Odessa; and Timothy Kraemer and his fiancée Laura Huhn of Newark; a daughter, Shanna Kraemer of Colora, MD; and 4 grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Douglas Smith and her sister Debbie Jensen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 15 Gender Rd., Newark, DE 19713 on Friday February 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE, 19711 on Thursday February 7 from 6-8 pm or one hour prior to Mass at the church. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the make-a-wish foundation c/o the funeral home.
