Frank Porter Sheldon, Jr., age 93 of Elkton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He was born in Elkton, MD on October 4, 1930, to the late Frank Porter Sheldon, Sr. and Gladys (Cooling) Sheldon.
Frank proudly served his country in the Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, Frank went on to work as a Meat Cutter, retiring from U.F.C.W. Local 56 after 42 years. He coached little league when his children played and always enjoyed watching their sports events. Franks greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his wife, Elsie K. Sheldon; two children: Timothy P. Sheldon and Mary K. Sheldon; three grandchildren: Jamie Lynn Huston, Kyle Ann Sheldon, and Kenneth P. Sheehan, Jr.; sister, Frances Lee and her husband, Harold; brother, Walter Sheldon and his wife, Sally; and sister-in-law, Joyce Sheldon.
In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles Sheldon and Roland Sheldon.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11:00AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 where family and friends may begin to visit at 10:00AM. Burial will be held at Bethel Cemetery. To send online condolences please visit, www.rtfoard.com
