Frank Brubaker Bradley, age 94, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 7, 1931, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Frank was the beloved son of the late Frank Garber Bradley and Lizzy Behm Bradley (née Brubaker). He was the devoted husband of Wanda Marie Bradley (née Shanberger) for 68 loving years.
Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he attended Franklin & Marshall College, where he earned a degree in English. A lifelong learner, he later received his master’s degree from the University of Delaware.
A dedicated educator for more than 30 years, Frank taught 8th grade English with passion and care. He began his teaching career in Manheim, Pennsylvania, and later taught at Kirk Middle School (formerly Ogletown Middle School) in Delaware, where he touched the lives of countless students through his knowledge, patience, and quiet encouragement.
Frank found great solace in the outdoors. An avid boater, he spent many happy hours on the Susquehanna River, often owning multiple boats at once. He also cherished family camping trips and took pride in building his own RV camper. Many of the family’s most treasured memories were made at Pequea Creek Campground.
In addition to his love for the water and the outdoors, Frank and Wanda operated a part-time business at Renninger’s Antiques in Adamstown, Pennsylvania.
Above all, Frank will be remembered as a calm, gentle, and kind man who rarely spoke an unkind word. His quiet strength, steady presence, and warm heart brought comfort and stability to everyone around him.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his son, George Bernard Bradley, and his sisters, Mildred Bradley, Dorothy Keller, and Betty Dietzel.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Marie Bradley; daughters Jennifer Montgomery (Jay) and Amy Bradley; grandchildren Jenna, Erica, Matthew, Ashley, and Frank; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Carol Bradley; and many extended family members. and friends
