Francis P. Urbaniak, 90, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2016. Born on August 15, 1926 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Stephen and Ida (Michalak) Urbaniak.

Francis worked as a barber at Barrow’s Barber Shop, located on Main Street in Newark, DE, where he retired in 1973. He then went on to work at Glasgow High School in Newark, DE as a custodian until 1991. Francis was a member of the VFW Post 475 in Newark, DE and was a member of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church where he participated in various activities. He also attended the Elkton Senior Center of Elkton, MD.

Francis is survived by his daughter-in-law, Janet Urbaniak of Elkton, MD; sister, Mary Green of Dover, DE; grandchildren: Jason Urbaniak and his wife, Krista, of Newark, DE, and Lindsay Pecor and her husband, Jeff, of Abingdon, MD; and great-grandchildren: Paul, Eli, Jillian, Natalie, and Logan.

In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by his wife, Rita A. Urbaniak; son, Paul S. Urbaniak; and daughters: Bonnie Urbaniak and Debbie Urbaniak.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 82 Possum Park Road, Newark, DE 19711. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
