Stephen Romey left a message on October 11, 2019:
I did not hear from Fran's death until today (10/11/2019). Unfortunately, now that my Mother has long past on, I do not receive any news from the Asti side of the family. My Mother is Gloria Romey (nee Asti)

In any case, better very late then never. Fran was a great man. I immensely enjoyed his company and once traveled to the Asti ancestral home in Italy with Fran and his family.

Tim Fisher left a message on January 2, 2019:
Praying for peace and healing for the entire Asti extended family.
Fran always treated me warmly and as a second son. I learned so much from him how to be self-reliant (fix it yourself!), and how to communicate with people, especially strangers! He could be a hard man to love sometimes, but he was generous to a fault in his community, and was always there to provide support and guidance. He taught me so much about self-reliance, self-confidence, community service, and the strength of extended families. Some of my best memories of him will be our family trips to Italy. From those trips, I learned the magic of making those distant family connections and friendships in different languages and cultures, but always connected through shared family, friendships and love. To the extent that my life is richer for his teaching, guidance, and example, a part of him will always be alive in me.
Thank you Fran, Pop, Nonno. Rest In Peace (and I hope Heaven has a Big Band that needs a clarinet!)

My heartfelt sympathy on your great loss. I had the honor of being associated with Fran for many years as a colleague and more importantly a friend. Fran was one of those rare individuals who connected with just about anyone he ever met. He genuinely loved people and they loved him back. He had this great capacity and willingness to jump in and lend a helping hand regardless of the situation. Like so many, I will always remember and cherish the numerous times I spent with Fran that were fun, humorous and certainly never dull.
Gary Strouse left a message on December 8, 2018:
Life at GTC infinitely more interesting when Fran was hired.
I had someone to discuss restoring cars, renovating houses, plus discussing music and attending concerts like Andre Rieu.
All of us will miss him and continue to remember on of our favorite co-workers.
Heartfelt sympathy to the family.
