Francis Chester Stopyra, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully November 23, 2017. Born on October 4, 1932 in Marshallton, DE Francis was the son of the late August Stopyra and Agnes (Benben) Stopyra.

Francis owned and operated a dairy farm in Newark, DE. He was dedicated to working his land and caring for his livestock. He loved the outdoors and was always in his element on the farm. Francis was a devoted husband, father and friend whom will be missed dearly.

Francis is survived by his two sons: Edward Stopyra and his wife, Mary Alice of Vero Beach, FL and Robert Stopyra of Newark, DE; and sister, Agnes Ragan and her husband, Robert of Middletown, DE.

In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Stopyra.

A Celebration of Francis’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at All Saints Cemetery Chapel, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19806, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1:30pm.
