Frances V. Laletas, age 85, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. She was born January 23, 1929 in Marion, VA to the late Thomas and Margaret (Poston) Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Mears and her husband, Stephen of Colora, MD; sons, Thomas Barrow and wife Lois of Rising Sun, MD, Larry Barrow of Conowingo, MD, and Steven Barrow and wife Brenda of Peach Bottom, PA; sisters Ernestine Grinstead of Chesapeake City, MD, and Peg Lucas of Colora, MD, 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother and 4 sisters.
A service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, PA, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Port Deposit, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution checks can be made to “Gateway Baptist Church” c/o the funeral home.
