Frances S. Denver, 89, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully Friday, April 4, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on March 19, 1925, Frances was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary C. Satterfield. She was a lifelong member of the Singerly Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary. She cherished her time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frances is survived by her sons, William J. Denver (Linda) and John J. Denver (Anna Marie) both of Elkton, MD; daughters, Ellen Cosby, Kathleen McDaniel (John) both of Elkton, MD, and Susan Helm (Walter) of Farmington, CT; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, William Satterfield of Kennett Square, PA; sisters Ruth Boulden of Elkton, MD and Ann Mears of Chesapeake City, MD; and her sister-in-law, Theresa A. Denver of Port Deposit, MD. Including her parents, Frances was also preceded in death by her loving husband, William E. Denver who passed away in 1989 and her four sisters, Mary Satterfield, Jean Hall, Margaret McIntire, and Theresa Harrigan.

A mass of Christian burial will be held in Frances’ honor at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 455 Bow St., Elkton, MD 21921. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Cherry Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Singerly Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary or to the Immaculate Conception Church and sent in care to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
