Frances Diane Bach, age 83 of Chesapeake City, MD passed away on September 30, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1942 in Wilmington, DE to the late Joseph Grabowski and Frances Filkins (Hughes) Gawronski.

Diane was kind hearted and always ready and willing to help others. She wouldn’t wait to be asked, she would just volunteer and get things done. Diane was considered the Matriarch of the family; she was always bringing everyone together for holidays and celebrations. Diane was an outstanding baker and was known for her famous apple pies and lemon pound cake. Many would fight over the last piece!

Diane worked beside her husband, Howard and helped him run, “Bach Construction”. She was also the Office Manager for Langner Realty, Dr. McCarthy (vet), and Dr. Cohen (dentist). Diane enjoyed traveling to Lewes, DE and Naples, FL where she would work on her homes and shop in consignment stores. She had a soft spot for dogs, and they were truly her life!

Diane is survived by her siblings: Leslie Richardson (Jim), Jody Gawronski (Kris), Stacy Gawronski (Clara), Susan Ferguson (Dave), and Kim Baker (Steve); and nieces: Kelly Swyka (Austin Bender) and Debbie Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bach and nephew, Jimmy Richardson.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Family and friends may attend the viewing beginning at 10AM. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Cecil County Animal Services” and sent in care of the funeral home: P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
