Filomena T. Dunton, age 71, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. She was born in Santo Andre, Sao Paulo, Brazil on January 15, 1950 to the late Jose Graciano Toledo and Odila Mendes (Cardoso) Toledo.
Filomena was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening flowers and veggies, liked doing math, and she even wrote a novel but never got a chance to publish it. Filomena’s greatest joys in life were taking care of her children and grandchildren, spending time with her family, and going to fast-food restaurants.
Filomena is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Dunton; three daughters: Kay Dunton, Melina Rosenberg and her husband, Alex, and Shura Parks and her husband, Mark; grandchildren: Kyle Ethan Parks, Eli Nathan Parks, and Samuel Raytheon Parks. In addition to her parents, Filomena is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Eliza Snow Parks and Joshua Ray Parks.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
