Fern Lee Trimble (Pierce)

Port Deposit, MD

Fern L. Trimble, 84, of Port Deposit, MD, formerly of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Born in Rising Sun, MD on June 6, 1939 to the late George L. and Lora E. (Abrams) Pierce. Fern was the wife of Richard A. Trimble.

Fern was a loving wife and mother. She was a valued member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where she was an instrumental part of the staff and the success of the start-up of the Lighthouse Christian School.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna L. Potter of Northeast, Terri L. Welborn (Dahl) of Colora, Christine L. Congo (Jason) of Elkton and son Marty L. Potter (Martina) of Churchville. Two granddaughters, three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Gerald, Howard and Manly Pierce and two sisters, Naomi Perry and Evelyn Sharpless.

The family would like to thank her caregivers. Their kindness and loving care during this period of our lives made it much easier to cope. We cannot thank you enough.  Carla and Michele for your loving home care. Primary nurse Tracy and nurse aid Kayla.  Also, the complete staff at Calvert Manor. With a special thanks to April, Faye, Dorthy, Mary, Hanna, Ebony, and Anna during our mother’s residency there.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 25th, Viewing from 10-11 am.  Service will follow, at Foard Funeral Home, 111 S Queen St. Rising Sun, MD. by Rev. Paul Jones (Brother-in-Law). Burial will be in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun. A fellowship will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Port Deposit afterwards.
