Fay LaRue DeWolf, age 95 of Colora, MD passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was born on July 14, 1928, in Emmaus, PA to the late Charles Henry Rehm and Marguerite Sarah Isabella (Merkle) Snyder.
Fay was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a talent for woodworking and enjoyed making yard silhouettes and working with her hands. She possessed a remarkable ability to build and create things. Fay found joy in being outdoors, whether it was mowing the grass, traveling throughout the country with her husband, Elton in their RV, or riding motorcycles and horses. In addition to her hobbies and interests, Fay and her husband, Elton, were active members of camping clubs, where she formed lasting friendships and created cherished memories. Fay will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Fay is survived by her children: Dawn Smith (Leo), Paul DeWolf (Jeanette), Luanne Seyler (Robert), Jean Craig (Glenn), and Beth Davis (Dale); grandchildren: Jeremy Stevens (Maria), Garrett DeWolf (Thania), Nicole Merlini (William), Allison Aubry (William), Jamie DeWolf (Lauren), Cory Allison (Brian), Josh Gray (Valerie), Meghan McCaffery (Brian), and Justin Smith (Kim); eleven great grandchildren, and one on the way; one great great grandson; stepbrother, Glenn Snyder (Pat).
Fay was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elton Abraham DeWolf, as well as her sons, Steven DeWolf, and Mark DeWolf; and granddaughter, Freedom Reeves.
Services for Fay will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
