Evelyn M. Mawson, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2014 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Care in Newark, DE. She was born September 5, 1944 to the late Robert T. and Evelyn Marie (Beam) Mawson. She was most recently a resident of Manor Care in Pike Creek, DE.

She is survived by her brother, Kenneth W. Mawson, Sr., and wife Judi of Lansdale, PA; daughters Sarah Kemp of Pinellas Pines, FL, Dr. Mary Colson of Mobile, AL, and Philis Price-Dean of New Castle, DE; and a granddaughter Kristena Price.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert T. Mawson, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the meetinghouse of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 500 W. Chestnut Hill Rd., Newark, DE 19713. Friends and family may visit prior to the service beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will follow at Newark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial checks can be made to Seasons Hospice or Christiana Care Health Services Foundation and mailed c/o R.T. Foard & Jones F.H., 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
