Evelyn B. Brown, aged 84, a resident of Quarryville, PA, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Born on August 30, 1938, in Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Cook and Bertha Jennie Morrison.

Evelyn had a keen eye for bargains and treasures, often exploring thrift shops and yard sales to find hidden gems. Her enthusiasm for bingo was matched only by her tenacity and kindness. Her family fondly remembers her as a woman of strong will and feistiness, beautifully balanced by her kindness and caring nature. Above all, her heart swelled with pride and joy for her beloved grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Jack R. Brown, and her three grandsons: Jack Brown, Patrick Brown, and Nicholas Brown. Additionally, she leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Brown, Mia Brown, Wyatt Brown, and Damon Brown.

Alongside her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brown.

A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, located at 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends are invited to begin visiting at 10:00 AM. The burial will be held privately.
