When I first met Stan I thought he was one of the nicest people I had ever met. He got saved a couple weeks later after the morning service and became a dear and cherished friend. We played lot's of music together at Charlestown Baptist Church and everywhere we had opportunity. Our last visit together a few days before he passed I took a boy from the church and a couple of guitars and we played music and Stan tried to sing as much as he could. He was a blessing to the end. I will surely miss him but glad to know I'll see him one day in heaven! Praying for all his loved ones at this time!

I will never forget in 1979 at Lancaster County Park's Fiddler's Picnic when I first met Stan and Al Hamilton for the first time. I thought they were brothers. It resulted in many, many years of great bluegrass picking and friendship. Stan will always be treasured as a great friend and musician. See you again someday Stan!
