
















Elwood H. Kerns, age 77, formerly of Nottingham, PA passed away on January 20, 2013. Elwood was born in Frederick County, VA on March 15, 1935 to late Hetzel & Laura (Wetzel) Kerns.
Elwood was employed at Herr’s Potato Chip Factory in Nottingham, PA as a security guard for many years before retiring in 2008. He was also a member of State Line Baptist Church in Rising Sun, MD.
He is survived by his stepdaughters, Sandra Keebler of Elkton, MD, Suzanne Wyatt of Middletown, DE, Sharon Evans of Kennett Square, PA and Christine Norris of Oxford, PA; stepson, Ron Keebler of New York, NY; brother, Howard Kerns of Stephens City, VA; sisters, Geraldine Jenkins of Middletown, VA and Carolyn Crabill of Maurertown, VA; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Kerns; daughter, Deborah Kay Kerns; brother, John Kerns; sister, Loraine Henson.
A Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at State Line Baptist Church, 560 Chrome Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may call one hour prior. Burial to follow at State Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
