



Ellen Frances Murson, 79, of Warwick, MD, passed away March 9, 2014 at Union Hospital.
Born in Wilmington, DE on August 28, 1934, Ellen was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Sutter McLaughlin. She worked for W.L. Gore for 12 years and retired from there in 1985. She was also the owner of the Alibi Inn where she was known for her outstanding crab cakes. A member of the Moose Lodge and the VFW in Elkton, MD, Ellen was very proud of generously supporting the VFW during veteran holidays where she served coffee and other refreshments to members as they decorated graves at various cemeteries. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and will be remembered as a woman devoted to her family.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Kenneth R. Murson of Warwick, MD; a daughter Suellen Lappe and her husband Clint of Elkton, MD; two sons, Charles A. Murson of Chesapeake City, MD and Keith R. Murson and his wife Marie of Elkton; 6 grandchildren, Hope Wilburn, David “Bubby” Sowers, Christian Lappe, Jordan Murson, Angie Murson and Rebecca Murson; and 8 great grandchildren, Johnathen, Justin, Braden, Emily, Jackson, Bradon, Kyron, Lilyellen,. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Mallory Pennington who died in 2012.
A service honoring her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 14, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915 with a visitation beginning at 10:00. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association c/o the funeral home.
