Edward W. Kane, 88, of Newark, DE, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2014 at Newark Manor Nursing Home.
Born August 31, 1925 in Paterson, NJ, Edward was the son of the late William A. Kane and Elizabeth (Hermeling) Kane. Edward enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II and served bravely until being honorably discharged. He attended college at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. After college, Edward was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Paterson and Totowa, NJ until his retirement.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Eileen Brophy & her husband Terrence of Elkton, MD; granddaughter, Tracy Brophy & her husband Scott, of Round Hill, VA; grandsons, Brian Brophy & his wife Amy, of Cecilton, MD and Craig Brophy & his wife Alesha, of Clarksburg, MD. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Private services were held for the family on Sunday February 16, 2014.
