Edward D. Simm, 65, of Elkton, MD, passed away at his home July 15, 2014.
Born in Altoona, PA on March 23, 1949, Ed was the son of the late Fred and Jean Simm. He retired from Verizon after 33 years of service. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. His greatest joy was spending time with his family who will dearly miss him.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Judy Simm; three children, Misty Simm of Elkton, Doug Simm and his wife Shannon of Ocean City, MD; and Susan Buckworth and her husband Will of Warwick, MD; 4 grandchildren, Timothy Clugston, Jake Buckworth, Nathan Simm and Gracie Buckworth. He also leaves behind his stepmother Eleanor Simm; two sisters, Sharon Seymour and Sandy Detwiler; and a step brother Rick Dean. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter Tegan Clugston.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915 on Friday July 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
