Edith Mae Hall, 71, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Born in Fountain Green, MD on June 22, 1942, Edith was the daughter of the late Fred and Ola Anderson. She worked at Perry Point Hospital and resided most of her life in Aberdeen where she and her husband raised their children. She enjoyed travelling with her husband around Maryland and Pennsylvania, seeing different sites and meeting new people. They especially enjoyed the Havre de Grace Promenade and Perry Point Park where they would feed the ducks. Although Edith suffered with mobility issues from a stroke, she got out as much as she could and always had a smile for anyone she met. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved children. Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Sam Hall, Sr.; children Patricia Gibson and Sam Hall, Jr.; a grandchild Chad May and a dear friend Mark Stifler. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, John and Mary Beth Hall, with whom she resided; her sister, Janice McClellan, brothers Tom, Leon and Fred Anderson; grandchildren Aron May, Shawn Hall, Tonya May, Kayla Barker, David and Douglas Cuffley; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery in Churchville on Monday December 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
