Edith JoAnn Davis

Edith JoAnn Davis, age 81, of Bowie, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023. She was born on June 11, 1942, in Davenport, IA, to the late Cecil Everett Blanchard and Bonnie Marie (Darland) Blanchard.
Edith was a devoted member of Cornerstone Assembly of God Church for over 50 years. She enjoyed being involved with Helping Hands at her church. Edith was a funny, strong-willed woman who was set in her ways and would speak her mind. In her early years Edith enjoyed playing the piano. She loved her dogs and enjoyed being with them. Edith found joy in collecting Thomas Kincaid things and working on puzzles. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Debra Austin and son-in-law, Craig Austin II; son, Kenneth Davis, Jr.; grandchildren: Craig Austin III, Brittany Austin, and Jessica Davis; and brother, Jimmy Blanchard.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Davis, Sr.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made payable to “St. Jude Childrens Hospital” or “SPCA” in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
