Dwight A. Gentry, 59, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away suddenly September 27, 2012 at Christiana Hospital.
Born in West Jefferson, NC, on January 26, 1953, Dwight was the son of the late Tine and Pauline Eller Gentry. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Jr.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Gentry of Rising Sun and Tim Gentry and his wife Stell of North East; two daughters, Kimberly Gentry of Elkton and Jennifer Bracken of OK; six grandchildren, Ian, Alyssa, Tim Jr., Matthew, Samantha and Austin; a brother Ellis Gentry of Rising Sun and two sisters, Myrtle Brewer of Rising Sun and Wanda Pyle and her husband Tom of Rising Sun. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Gentry.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Brookview Cemetery.
