Dorothy S. MacCauley, 89, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away in her home the evening of September 15, 2024. She was born on March 7, 1935 in Morgantown, PA to the late Clarence Styer and Ella (Beam) Styer.

Dorothy worked at Jay Dee Department Store and as a homemaker for many years. She was an avid golfer. She loved vacationing and briefly resided in The Villages, FL.

She is survived by her five cherished children: Linda Kightlinger, Donald MacCauley, Phyllis Blakeley, JoAnne MacCauley, and Richard (Annette) MacCauley; four grandchildren: Amanda MacCauley, Paige Kline, Jacob MacCauley and Alexander MacCauley; and one great grandson: Anderson Shifflett. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett MacCauley, Jr; and son-in-law, Kenneth Kightlinger.

Services will be help privately at the family’s convenienve.
