Dorothy M. Ritchie, age 81, of Rising Sun, MD passed away April 20, 2019. Dorothy was born in Leesport, PA on January 14, 1938 to the late James and Florence Werner.
During the 1960’s Dorothy worked at the Rising Sun sewing factory. She was also a member of Janes United Methodist Church. Dorothy enjoyed flowers especially African violets and peonies. She also loved to bake and clipping coupons.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Franklin A. Ritchie; son, James “Jimmy” Ritchie and his wife Amber of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Ruth Marie Anderson of Elkton, MD. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
A Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD. 21911. Family and friends may visit starting at 10:00am, burial to follow at Rosebank Cemetery.
