Dorothy Matilda Noell Petrovich, 83, of Main Towers, Newark, DE, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at home. She married her late husband, George Petrovich, May 6, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, raised a family and enjoyed 48 years together.
Dorothy was born on May 12, 1928, in Norfolk, VA, a daughter of the late Frank Louis Noell and the late Mary Alice (Via) Noell. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Petrovich, two grandsons, 1 great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Lorraine Petrovich of Wilmington, DE.; one son, George Petrovich II of North East, MD; two sisters, Evelyn Louise Noell (infant) of Detroit, MI and Elise Noell Harmon of Lynchburg, VA; and two brothers, Robert Earl Noell of Westlake, OH and Louis Leland Noell of Danville, VA.
At the request of the family, services will be private.
