Mrs. Dorothy Jane Luzetsky, 84, wife of the late Peter Luzetsky, died peacefully July 31, 2014 at home with her family in Melfa, VA. Formerly of Elkton, MD, for the last 7 years Dorothy had been a resident of Melfa, VA.
Born on February 4, 1930 in Pleasant Hill, MD, she was the daughter of the late John R. Dickerson and the late Maude A. Dreibelbis.
Dorothy is survived by her four loving daughters, Maribeth Haines and husband Thomas C., Jr. of Melfa, Karen M. Morris of Onancock, Deborah E. Shannon and husband William of Leonardtown, MD and Christina Sholl of Newark, DE; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Morris, Matthew Morris, Kelly Morris, William Shannon, Thomas Shannon, Sarah Haines Hoffman, Andrew Haines and Sean Stevens; and one great-grandchild, Caiden Hoffman.
Her lifetime of selfless giving and her loving spirit touched the hearts of all her knew her. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Onley, VA.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday August 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Chesapeake City, MD with Father David Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Chesapeake City.
