Dorothy J. Gerjovich who was born in Brooklyn, New York died at home surrounded by her children, in Newark, Delaware on December 6, 2014.
The second of three daughters of two Slovene immigrants from Austria, she was married for 29 years to Henry J. Gerjovich, before his death in 1969. She is predeceased by her older sister, Mary J. Vetter. She is survived by her sister Florence Engelhardt, her husband Charles of Wheaton, Maryland as well as her daughter Stephanie Wright of Bear, Delaware, her husband, Brian, as well as her sons, Michael Gerjovich of Central Islip, New York, John Gerjovich of Telford, Pennsylvania, his wife, Michelle, and Paul Gerjovich of Jacksonville, Florida and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A long-time resident of Newark, Delaware, she was very active and successful in the Newark Senior Center Bridge group, loved tennis, golf, reading, history and old movies.
A private service and burial will be held at All Saints Cemetery on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.
