I will always have fond memories of Mrs. Browkaw during my years at Rising Sun High School. She was always very professional and friendly as well as calm and reassuring. She was a true role model. Please know she will be missed but forever remembered by those she interacted with. My thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Dot. I originally lived in Rising Sun but have since moved to NC. I stayed nights with her and we had a lot of long talks with which I learned so much about Rising Sun. May you rest in Heaven. Love JANICE AND BARRY MCCUMMINGS
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Carol Hirst left a message on November 18, 2013:
As a brand spanking new teacher to Rising Sun, I first met Dot in the school office, where she welcomed every person with the same smile and genuine concern and helpfulness. I knew right away I could depend on her for any questions or problems. She grew quickly into a friend to me and my husband Tom. We shared an interest in cards and played many hours of bridge at the Brokaw house. Always fun and enjoyable. Dot has remained a friend since those days in 1965. Every Christmas I hear from her with a nice note about her family. Through our yearly cards and Christmas photos Dot has followed our travels with interest and love. I will miss her note this Christmas. Thank You Dot for your friendship through the years. May God Bless you and Keep You. We will miss you down here!
