I was saddened to hear of Dots passing . I was her next door on Meriden Dr. for many years. Dot was a vibrant and wonderful neighbor. I would often visit with her. She was very wise and a very good listener. I will miss her advice and counsel. She will be missed.

I knew Dot from church. I visited with her several times in my roll as elder to serve communion and deacon to bring her flowers. Each time I visited I remember thinking...I could stay here all day and listen to her"! She had an energy about her that made you want to know more about her life. Today I was honored to hear her granddaughters share their memories. I want to thank them for their sharing. The stories of Dot's amazing life were so special. I felt like her story was still continuing through their special memories. I loved her while she was here on earth and I love her even more through the eyes of two special young women! Both testimonies were so uplifting and heartening that I wanted to clap when they ended. Our prayers are with the family.

Wife, "Mother Harvey", Mom, Mother-in-Law, Mom-Mom, Great Grand Mom, Aunt Dot. Dorothy wore many hats in her family and she wore them all so well. She will be dearly missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Dot was a very special friend. We both started as secretaries at Christiana High School when it opened in 1963 and I used to pick her up on the way to work before she got her own car. She was the secretary in the Guidance office and I worked in the main office. I loved her "down home" stories and sense of humor. She was so proud of her children. She will be dearly missed. We were neighbor's of Mrs. Lewis for 22 years and were very fond of her. She hired our son, Thomas to cut her grass when he was 10 years old which helped him launch a lawn service in our neighborhood. After cutting her grass he would often go in and visit with Mrs. Lewis. They would drink lemonade and watch golf together. She became like another grandmother to him and he really enjoyed their friendship. She will be greatly missed on Meriden Drive. Rest in peace.
