Dorothy Belle Miller, of Rising Sun MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12th at the age of 97. She was born on March 26, 1928 to the late Harry and Mary Flaharty. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Cecil County and an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 8185 in Port Deposit for many years. She loved to bake and always believed that there was no problem a fresh batch of cookies couldn’t fix.
Dorothy was married to the late Charles Miller of Rising Sun. Her beloved “Charlie”. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen Schneeberger (Carl), son, Joseph “Bobby” Miller Jr, and grandchildren, Keith Miller (Tara), Scott Miller (Jamie), Renee Jerns (Dale), David Schneeberger (Alexis), Todd Schneeberger (Amy), Morgan Strenck (Guy) and 12 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be truly missed.
A burial will take place at West Nottingham Cemetery and will be private.
