I was very saddened of this news. She was one of my best friends growing up in Wharton NJ. We had great times together but drifted our ways after high school. I reconnected with her on FB and we continued our friendship. She was a great person and friend and will be missed dearly.

I just heard of Dorothy's passing and while reading the comments discovered we lost Debbie as well. We were friends in Marie V Duffy into Curtis school but lost touch when we hit Morris Hills. Fond memories of days gone by. The world sheds tears at their passing

Sincere condolences to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace, Hosea 13:14.

Dottie and I became the best of friends after we met when she came to meet and then adopt two of several kittens that I had rescued. We just instantly connected and spoke almost daily and got together weekly. Even when Dottie was in the hospital fighting for her life, she continued to make me smile and laugh when I visited her. Now her girls (her cats) Faith and Petal make me smile and laugh every day.
I am so very thankful to have had the honor of being Dottie's friend though miss her every day. Dottie - Thank You for being my friend and "The Girls" are loved and safe and they are with me and my family. I will never forget you.

Rita and I are sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing.

I remember making the trip out from North Bergen to Lake Parsippany as a kid on Rt 46 to visit my cousins who loved in the country. It was always a fun event and I looked forward to it. It took about an hour an a half and seemed like forever.

Now I pass it every day on the way to Morristown and wonder what the house and street look like this many years later.

My thoughts are with Billy, Cheryl and the rest of the Anacker family and friends. I look forward to hopefully seeing you sometime soon.

We are so sorry about Dorothy's passing. I have fond memories of Anacker parties, weddings, and the fun we all had as kids. I also remember the stories of how she and Debbie would pull their cribs together as babies, just to be close (or was it to get into mischief together?). My thoughts and prayers are with Billy, Cheryl, and Dorothy's family as they mourn the passing of a warm and spirited soul. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

Dottie will be sorely missed. She was a great friend and coworker. She was so funny and always made me laugh. She was an excellent teacher as well. She knew how to explain things which made learning new tasks easier. We shared our love of cats and all animals. I loved hearing her laugh too. She will be in my heart always. I know you are at peace now. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
