Doris S. McCullough

Doris S. McCullough, age 88, of Landenberg, PA passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born in Wilmington, DE on February 13, 1936, to the late William M. Steele and Dorothy (Grantland) Steele.

Doris proudly served her country in the U.S. Army as a Registered Nurse for three years. In her free time, she enjoyed riding horses and gardening both flowers and vegetables. Doris loved her dogs and would breed them, she also showed dogs with her cousin, Kay. Doris will always be remembered for being strong, compassionate, and a leader. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Doris is survived by her niece, Ellie Stevenson and her husband, Kevin; nephew, Phillip Richardson; and cousin, Kay.

In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn F. McCullough; and sister, Ruth Richardson.

Services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “National Wildlife Federation” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
