Donna Sue Michalski, age 56, of North East, MD, passed peacefully into God’s hands in her home on Saturday, February 9, 2013 surrounded by her husband and two pet dogs. She was born in Baltimore, MD on October 7, 1956 to Kezia and the late Edith (Forbes) McNeal.
Donna worked as a sales rep selling wholesale electronic components to various business accounts in the area. Having an artistic eye and a technical background, she returned to Cecil College and earned her degree in digital photography and media. She had a special talent for restoring old photos to quality prints, and would perform this service with detail and love for her friends and neighbors. Described as a “very gentle and sweet lady”, Donna was loved by all that met her. She loved animals of all sorts especially her dogs Boo-Boo and Snowy Bear. In addition to playing the slots at the casinos, she flew many places with her husband Stan in the family plane, and assisted in the management of the Farmington Airfield. She was voted the “Queen” of the Maryland Chapter of Flying Farmers in 1998.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 37 years, Stan Michalski, her father Kezia McNeal of Rising Sun, MD; sister Darlene McNeal of Rising Sun, MD; numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own, and many friends and neighbors. She is predeceased by her mother Edith Forbes McNeal.
A Viewing will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Funeral service and burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made in Donna’s honor to the American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
