Donald served in the U.S. Navy, which was something he was very proud of. He served on the U.S.S. Mid Way as a firefighter. He was an avid bowler, participating in various bowling leagues throughout his life. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the mountains. However, Donald’s fondest joy was spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren.

Donald is survived by his son, Donald L. Wiseman, Jr. of Oxford, PA; three daughters, Joanne Atwood of Cochranville, PA, Eugenia Atwood of Toughkenamon, PA, and Denise King of West Grove, PA; sister, Barbara Golby of Newark, DE; two half-brothers, Denny Ray Wilburn of New Castle, DE and William Edward Wilburn of Hockessin, DE; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Esther Mae Wiseman; sister, Katherine Fisk, and one great grandchild.

A visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery in Colora, MD.

I miss you Uncle Donald.

Uncle Donald, you will always be in my heart.

We are sorry for your lost. When I think of Donald the first thing that pops into my mind is family man he'd loved his family very much. He took wonderful care of his wife and mother. He was a good man and I am certain he is greeted by his wife and mother on the other side with open arms. As a child Denny Ray was took hunting by his big brother Donald. The love of the outdoors they both share. I apologize that we could not make to the funeral, Denny Ray stays fairly close to the house these days. His health doesn't permit him to go too far. Know that all of you are in our prayers.

Sorry to read about the loss of Donald Wiseman. He was our 4th cousin 1x removed. Although the Wisemans there do not maintain contact, some of us search for our Family Heritage.
