Donald L. (Don) Niehouse, 75, of Elkton, MD, passed away July 14, 2015 at Christiana Hospital.
Born in Kansas City, MO on October 20, 1939, Don was the son of the late Louis and Ina Niehouse. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Morse Code radio man on the carrier USS Bonhomme Richard, and retired as a plant manager, working in the plastics industry. He will be remembered as a man who loved life, whose interests included boating and sports, Jazz and dogs, especially Rottweilers. He was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and loved good barbeque. Don also served as a Trustee for Chesapeake City VFW Post 7687.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Janice Niehouse; 2 daughters, Gintia Marie and Kimberly Ann; and a son, Donald L. Niehouse, II; 9 grandchildren and a great grandson. He also leave behind his brother Douglas Niehouse and was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Niehouse.
A service honoring his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children and mailed to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
