





Donald George McCullough, Sr., 93, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Sunday December 7, 2014 at Laurelwood Care Center in Elkton, MD.
Born in Ontario, Canada on September 13, 1921, he was the son of the late Garfield and Evelyn Scoggins McCullough and was the husband of the late Nannie Surber who passed in 1987. Having a great interest in camping, he was always eager for a new trade. His many jobs included bus driving, trucking, farming and founding Oakwood Garage in Conowingo, MD. He also belonged to Oakwood Rod and Gun Club. The family is grateful for the care given by All Care Assisted Living, Laurelwood Care Center and Amedisys Hospice.
Donald is survived by sons Donald, Jr. and his wife Ruth, Paul and his wife Kay, and Allan and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren Bonnie Wenger, Donna Purdy, Kevin, Brian, Joy, and Luke McCullough and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Doris Messick.
A service honoring his life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911 on Friday December 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. or one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Care Assisted Living or Amedisys Hospice and mailed to the funeral home.
