Diane Gloria Berry or Newark, Delaware, age 65, went home to be with her Savior July 5^th, 2021. Diane was born on October 18, 1955 to the late Howard Curtis Berry and Doris Rae (Haley) Brandolf.

Diane grew up in Newark, Delaware, graduating from Newark H.S. in 1974.She was a member of Newark Baptist Church and was baptized March 9, 1975. She was also a member of the International Order of Job’s Daughters from 1967-1976. She worked in various jobs and was a clerical secretary.

Diane loved to take pictures, scrapbook, read, needlepoint, and watch old movies. She especially loved shopping and sending cards to everyone she knew! She was a good friend to so many. The friends she made in high school remained her friends throughout her life. After moving to the Main Towers in Newark, Diane added a whole new group of friends. She was a bright light to so many people and she will be missed.

Diane is survived by her sisters: Debi Berry Burtnett and Holly Corrine Berry, her step brother Jody Sweetman, her niece Jenny Peters, her nephew Sam Spayd (Nancy), and many cousins including Herbert “Bret” Haley and his wife Kelly.

A celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Monday, July 12 at 11:00am at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home 122 W. Main St. Newark, De 19711 where family and friends may start visitation at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation or The Helen Graham Cancer Center.
