Derek Richard Huryan, 51, of Newark, DE passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Derek Richard Huryan, 51, of Newark, DE passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 19, 1964, Derek was the son of Nancy Joan (Ice) Huryan and the late George Huryan, Jr. Derek was a graduate of Christiana High School. HE enjoyed muscle cars, and hot rods, especially corvettes. He also enjoyed motorcycles and dirt bikes. He loved tinkering with computers and learning whatever he could about them.
Derek is survived by his mother, Nancy Huryan and his brother, George Huryan, III.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the American Cancer Society and sent in care to R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main, St., Newark, DE 19711.
