Denise Marchell Weaver, 52, of Elkton, MD, passed away unexpectedly at her home Sunday February 16, 2014.
Born in Wilmington, DE on February 20, 1961, Denise was the daughter of Verna Ebright and the late Robert Francis Ebright. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and was a long time employee of Collender, Griffith, and Chang Associates. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her three children, Richard (Jake) Wolfe, III of Elkton, Julie Cardell and her husband Paul of Springfield, PA and Jaclyn Wolfe of Elkton; stepchildren, Amanda Mullinix and her husband Matthew of Abingdon, MD and John P. Weaver, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Wilmington, DE and Jackson Weaver of Ohio, and five grandchildren, Rodney Hamm, Joshua & Brandon Wolfe, Mark and Aidan Jackson; five brothers and a sister. She was preceded in death by her husband John P. Weaver and a brother.
A service honoring her life will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Highway on Friday February 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be held Thursday evening at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 from 6-8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to The Denise Weaver Education Fund, established to assist her grandchildren to attend college c/o the funeral home.

I met Denise through my work in the late 90's and she was always most helpful and friendly. Years later we reconnected and became friends, She always had a kind heart and such a sweetness to her, you couldn't help but like her! But the most important quality about Denise was how much she loved her children and grandchildren. Since both of us were proud Nanas we would share stories about our handsome grandsons. I know that you all will miss her physical being, but just remember that she will live on forever in your hearts and memories. She is your special Angel watching over you at all times. I remember when I was about six years old, Denise was a teenager and came to stay with us for a little while one summer. I loved everything about her. She drew with me, read to me, talked to me, and I adored her. Our families were not close, but my parents loved her also...in a sense she was a bridge between our two families. It sounds like she went on to be a strong connection for many other of her family members and friends. Denise and I reconnected a few years ago on facebook, and while I did not get to know nearly well enough, she made it wildly clear that she LOVED HER GRANDCHILDREN. I am so very sorry to all of you who are feeling the pain of losing her in this life. She was a bright one.

Deepest sympathy is sent from the Cramer-Lewis family. Denise was my babysitter when I first came to Delaware. We lived in Kynlyn Apts. just around the corner from the Ebright's house. We watch our children grow to adults and have children of their own and were there for each other when life dealt us blows. She was always positive and always looked on the bright side of things.
