Delores Ann Eavey, age 68, of Conowingo, MD, passed away on June 19, 2020. She was born on August 8, 1951 in Lynch, KY to the late Ralph Phillips and Dorothy (Lockhart) Phillips.
Delores worked for Conowingo Elementary School for 28 years as a secretary, and was a lifetime member of 30 years at Pleasant View Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and loved being outdoors. Delores loved going to the beach, eating crabs, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be known for her great cooking and will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Delores is survived by her husband, Bill Eavey of Conowingo, MD; son, Ronnie Graybeal and his wife, Jennifer of Mountain Top, PA; two daughters: Teresa Miller and her husband, Wendell of Friendship, NY and Fallon Eavey of Conowingo, MD; three sisters, Donna Brown of Warwick, MD; Linda Johnson of Bartow, FL; and Karen Stutelberg of Perryville, MD; twenty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 7pm – 9pm at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Lane Port Deposit, MD 21904. A celebration of Delores’s life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11am at Pleasant View Baptist Church where friends and family may begin visiting at 10am. Burial will follow at Sam’s Creek Cemetery, New Windsor, MD 21776. Contributions may be made payable to Pleasant View Baptist Church and send in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 248 Rising Sun, MD 21911.

Mom, we just talked the other day and now you are gone. It just doesn't seem possible. I'm so sorry that we couldn't be there for you in the end, to tell you that it would be ok, to tell you that WE would be ok, to ease your pain, to say goodbye. Everything that has happened in my life I have shared with you. I will forever be picking up the phone to call or text about my day, or the kids, or just to check in. I'll never be able to listen to the ocean without hearing your voice, or eat crabs without thinking of you. Thank you for being a great mother and grandmother.
