Delois Marie Cox

Delois Marie Cox (69) of Conowingo, MD, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer on June 1, 2022. Born in Bel Air, MD on August 11, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Grace (nee, Hagen) and Homer Ellis, Sr. and the devoted wife of the late Freddie Cox.

Delois worked as a Housekeeper at Calvert Manor, where she was absolutely adored by the residents. She was best known for her feisty personality and kind and loving ways. Delois was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She doted on her family and was happiest when spending time together. In her leisure time she liked spending time at the beach, dining out and going on Tropical Cruises. She enjoyed crafts, such as sewing and needlepoint. She was a loyal fan of the Aberdeen Iron Birds Baseball Team and attended many games cheering them on at Ripken Stadium. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters: April Kelly (husband David Kelly) and Goldie Cox; granddaughters: Virginia Cox and Makayla Kelly; Step-grandchildren: Dakota Kelly and Merriah Kelly; siblings: Rosemary Little, Samuel Ellis, William Ellis and Ronald Ellis.
