So very sad to learn of the passing of my former boss, mentor, and friend. Debbie is the reason that I do what I do; she hired me to be a part of a growing veterinary clinical trials team back in 1996 and here I am now trying to rebuild that same career that I put on pause for kids and to help run a family business. One of my favorite memories of her is a photo of her with a walrus. Who else can say that their boss got to play with walruses for their job?! Debbie was a fun and fair boss and a good friend. Her patience and guidance made me both a quality employee and a better person. Debbie had a quirky sense of humor and never took things too seriously. The animal world has lost an amazing advocate for their better health and I have lost a mentor and friend. Rest in peace, Debbie. Until we meet again.

I was saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. I only knew her for a short time, but her positive spirit and attitude were so inspiring. I truly enjoyed meeting her and working with her. Sorry for your loss and God bless.
