Dean Marshall Pomeroy, age 67, of Rising Sun, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 7, 2018. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska on August 9, 1950, he was the son of the late George and Luceta Pomeroy.
Dean served his country proudly in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he went on to work as a Biotechnical Engineer for the Federal Civil Services for 35 years. Dean greatly enjoyed electronics, math, and going fishing.
Dean is survived by his six children: Jennifer Overkamp and her husband, Rick, Crystal Fumia and her fiancé, Robert Petr, Jason Pomeroy and his fiancé, Danna Amrien, Christopher Pomeroy and his wife, Sierra, Marshall Pomeroy and his wife, Joellen, and Michael Pomeroy; 14 grandchildren; and two brothers: Steve Pomeroy and David Pomeroy. In addition to his parents, Dean is preceded in death by his two brothers: Joe Pomeroy and John Pomeroy.
A remembrance of Dean’s life will be held at a later date.
