My Prayers our with Dawn's Parents, children and Friends. I had the Honor to know Dawn in her younger years will Dawn and My Daughter became very good friends, Dawn spent many days at our Home as well as my Daughter Jill did at that home. Jill and I were in complete shock and have a heavy Heart, to know a Beautiful Young Lady, who I never saw without a smile on her face was called home so soon,. Dawn , was one of the most respectable, giving, kind and loving friends my daughter and our family could have been blessed with.. After talking to Jill about this terrible lost, looking back over the years, Jill remember the love her parents displayed to her and one thing that really impressed Jill was that Dawn's mon who come in the bathroom with a timer for both girls to brush there teeth and the timer was done.. Ruth, I cannot begin to feel your Pain, who were an amazing mother and Dawn love you very much.. My Prayers will be with you threw this difficult time.. Dawn gave so much love and happiness to all, she will be deeply missed. Love Debbie

My Dearest Dawn, Words escape me-your time on this earth was far too short. The Lord above needed you more. As we mourn your loss-it's comforting to know your smiling and looking down from above. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I have been so blessed to have called you friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, laughter and tears. My life has been forever changed knowing you. With all my Love-Rhonda

Dawn, This still does not feel real! I can't understand why you are gone at such a young age and why you had to go through this, but no one will ever understand why. We just know that God needed an angel and he definitely got the best. I'm so thankful for the time I got to spend with you, all of my homecoming and prom updo's that I would just come in to the salon with no idea of what I wanted done and you would just make my hair look amazing- every time!!! The one time you had me hanging my head over the chair so you could braid the bottom pieces and all the blood rushed to my head LOL and then there's the time you and mom finally convinced me to wax my eyebrows for the first time- that was an adventure! All kinds of memories we shared that I will never forget! Rest in Peace <3 I love and miss you dearly!!!!

Dawn it was devastating to hear of your passing at such a young age. I will forever remember the fun we had in elementary school as well as Girlscouts. The slumber parties were always a blast too. Prayers are being sent for your family, especially your children.

Dawn, The last time I saw you was about a month ago when you cut Nick's mop. He was so mad that we ignored his instructions for just a "trim". I remember you gave me a little sneaky look and I gave you the look back meaning to chop it the way you wanted, without Nick knowing. Still, Nick loved for you to cut his hair and wouldn't let anyone else touch it. I will miss you so much Dawn, and so will Nick and Sarah and Steve. Our talks about EVERYthing while you covered up my gray with gorgeous colors..(you were the best!)...summers staying overnight at the Chesapeake Inn on the boats after dancing all night...your texts saying 'come to Sand Island!!' on the weekends. This summer will not be the same. I will think of you every single time I head out of the Susquehanna into the bay, but I know you will be there watching over us and smiling down from the blue sky and summer sun. xoxo Rest in peace my dear friend.

Everyone who knew Dawn was truly blessed. She was always smiling and so upbeat. I remember having long hair to the middle of my back and she convinced me to do a "posh" Bob. I was nervous but I knew I could trust her not only with my hair but with anything I told her. I admired her strength of battling cancer at such a young age and raising three wonderful children.

Dawn, I will never forget you or the great times we shared at your salon. I was so excited the last time you did my hair. I can remember thinking the night before that I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve I was so excited. Not just for you to do my hair but to be able to sit and chat with you. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that would be the last time you would do it. I still remember that day when I walked in and you said "can I do what I want?" You had that sh*t eating grin on your face as you asked it. I can still see you standing there. You loved that I always said "I don't care, do what you want" I enjoyed sharing our love for the Raven's and routing them on all the way to the super bowl with you this year. Go RAVENS!!! I loved our talks about our kids. You did Amanda's hair through her teenage funky days, to proms and graduation pictures. It is so sad that you won't be here for other special days in our lives. But we all know that we have a beautiful Angel looking over us. I remember one day that I mentioned that I thought I was too old to have my hair colored two different colors. You laughed out loud and assured me that I was not too OLD! So in your honor I had a little bit of pink put in my hair today. You will be dearly missed Dawn! My thoughts and prayers to Guy, Megan, Nick and Maddy. Stay strong just like you momma!

Dawn just thinking back to all the prom/homecoming's you did for my two girls. Doing Katie entire wedding party's hair/make up and than coming to the wedding and making sure we looked perfect. Mattie being Katie's flower girl and you worrying if she would walk down the isle and she did!!!! And than you doing the first haircut on my grandson. So glad you were apart of these special days how we the community are going to deal with your passing is going to be hard. It will get easier but we will never forget your great smiles, laughs and whatever else that you may say! I haven't been able to go pass your salon yet and it will be hard going pass and not seeing you standing at the door lol. I wish I could be half the person your were... I was remembering a day I came in to get my haircut and I saw Megan on one chair and Nick on the other they were quiet you told me the where in timeout for fighting and weren't aloud to speak until there father came to pick them up. You were such a good and loving mother installing all the good values into your children. To Megan watching you grow you are a mini Dawn you also will bring much joy to people I hope you follow in her footsteps you are awesome girl and just as strong as your mom was.. A beautiful angel is watching over you, Nick and Mattie. To Guy I never met you but heard all about you through Dawn she loved you and told so many stories of Mattie & Brooke her little twins stay strong and thank you for her early present to cancun she loved the beach...

Dawn, this is so hard for me. I loved you so much and loved visiting you at your hair salon. You always made me laugh and were just so damn funny. The things that you would tell me out of the clear blue sky, that I never thought of, I will always remember. I remember one of my 1st visits there I wrote you a check and you had a candle burning on your desk in a can and I put the pen in the burning candle and we could smell something burning but couldn't figure out what it was until the pen caught fire. We laughed forever about that. It was our private little joke. I love you Dawn. I will miss you so much. I don't think I can bare to come to your viewing.....I can't bare to see you like that. I want to remember you beautiful, happy, fun and crazy. I would just make a scene. My heart goes out to your family. My love, hugs, and kisses to Megan, Nick, and Maddie. So many memories, most of which we locked away so that our parents never found out LOL! I'll NEVER forget camping with your family in Western MD all summer...picking out stones for the front of the new house. You, Keri and me riding in the back of the pickup truck all the way there (with a cap, of course)...going to the auctions, bathing in the river, getting dirty and not having a care in the world. Back at your place, riding four-wheelers. You were so crazy, you drove like a mad-woman and I almost fell off and you ran over my leg. We thought it was broken so we snuck back into your house to see if the pain would go away because we didn't want to get in trouble. Turns out, we just scraped all of the skin off, no big deal :) You basically told me to suck it up. And the we were pulling Keri on the tube in the snow, you driving the four-wheeler and me sitting behind you when the rope snapped and welted my whole back side. Yeah, good times. We collected Swatch watches. Dressed alike (I do have pictures somewhere). Although we hadn't hung out in a while, I always knew you were there and you knew I was here. For each other, for always. I'll miss you. Love you your Mom, Dad, Keri, the kids...Guy, Dan and everyone else who is so deeply effected by you leaving so soon. Love you girl.

As my hairstylist you always made me feel like a million bucks when I left whether it was for homecoming prom or my 4 week color it was the highlight of my day to go to the salon not only to get my hair done but to catch up but I knew you would have the best advice to give me I could tell you anything and you knew exactly what to say. I love you and will miss you forever

Her pride and love of her children was very clear to see by anyone who knew her for more than five minutes. They were her pride and joy. My thoughts and prayers are with her children and the rest of her family. She will be deeply missed. Sandee Miller
