David Z. Alvarado, of Newark, DE, passed away on July 31, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1945 in Douglas, AZ to the late Alberto Alvarado and Aida Zazueta Alvarado.

David was the middle child of 13 brothers and sisters. He retired from a successful career as an insurance benefits counselor and left a legacy of positivity and sincere love for his family and all that met him. He treasured the simple things of life, like sitting by the fire listening to jazz music with a glass of wine and a cigar. An avid sportsman growing up, David enjoyed keeping up with the latest sports teams especially the Lakers basketball and Eagles football. And we will never forget his appreciation for a good homecooked meal!

David is mourned by Lyn Corallo, the love of his life for the past twelve years. He deeply loved and was most proud of his two children, David Alvarado Jr. and Paloma Alvarado, now aged 50 and 38. He will be missed by Lyn’s family, especially Joanne, Katie and Jeff, and Heather and Adam. David was honored to be called grandpa “Papito” by his grandchildren, Carissa, Brittney, and Davry, and Miles and Camden. David will be forever in the hearts of his surviving siblings, and his many nieces and nephews.
