David Warren Abrams, age 73, of North East, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026. Born on October 27, 1952, in Elkton, MD, David was the son of the late James “Mike” Maurice Abrams, and the late Ethel “Eck” Norman (Crothers) Abrams.

Warren was proud to have served in the 82nd Airborne Division, an experience that remained an important part of his identity. During his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Parachute Badge, honors that reflected his commitment and dedication. Warren worked at APG for 35 years as an engineering equipment operator for the Aberdeen Test Center.

Warren loved being outdoors, where he could appreciate the beauty of nature. He took pride in tending to his yard, where he could put care and attention into making things grow and flourish. Warren also enjoyed working with his hands, building rockets and birdhouses. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, a devoted spectator, cheering them on with interest and pride. Baseball held a special place in Warren’s heart. He loved and played the game growing up. He especially loved his Phillies.

Warren leaves behind a life marked by quiet pride, and a deep love for the people and places that mattered most to him.

Warren is survived by his wife of 49 years, Duon “Dee” Denise Abrams; children: David Abrams, II, and Elaine Abrams (husband, Josh Peters); grandchildren: James Abrams, Ella Abrams, Lucas Abrams, Emma Kate Abrams, and Ellie Abrams; siblings: Mike Abrams, Val Abrams, Fran Abrams, and Curtis Abrams (wife, Cathy).

In addition to his parents, Warren is preceded by his brother, Carl Abrams.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Bayview Cemetery, 233 Old Bayview Road, North East, MD 21901. A celebration of Warren’s life will follow immediately after at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, Event Center at 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, “Cecil County Animal Services” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
