David and I were teammates on the LaSalle College basketball team from 1964-66. I was two years his senior. I remember him as a hard-working gentleman who was a good athlete and devoted team player. I will keep him in my memory.

Dear Joy, I am so sorry for your lose, but your dad's gain. To be with our Lord is our life goal. Sometimes it's sooner than we want. My mom Virginia Miller wanted me to send her condolences to you Joy. She was quite shocked. She has such fond memories of your mom and dad. Your mom was one of her best friends. She missed her very much. They always had something to laugh and laugh about. Your dad was such a kind and fun guy to be around. They all shared their faith together. My dad, Stanley, passed away May 3, 2010 at the age of 86. My mom is in a nursing home in Myerstown for 3 years now. She had a stroke over 3 years ago and never quite recovered. She can't walk, her eye sight is minimal. She still has a sence of humor and good speech. She is tired and ready to go home to be with dad. Ginger and I see her 2 times a week which keeps her going. Virginia remembers how you were the joy of your mom and dad's life when you were born. What a perfect name---JOY!!!!! May God give you comfort and strength each day. Take care. Sandy

Joy I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was such a nice man. Every time I would run in to him somewhere in town he was always genuinely interested in how I was doing, and his face would light up once he would start talking about you and what you were doing.

Dave was a wonderful man. Every time I saw him, it was a blessing to me. He was so genuinely interested in my life. He'd tell me how I was on his prayer list and that he was actively praying for me. I had never asked him to pray for me, but he just did it out of love and care. What a blessing that is. His prayers carried me a long way, and truly set an example of devotion and dedication to God that I never want to forget. Thank you for your love and care, Dave. It meant more to me than I ever was able to share with you in life.
