David C. Everson, Jr, age 41, passed away suddenly on Friday evening, June 1, 2012 in Chesapeake City, MD. Born May 20, 1971in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of David C. and Barbara (DiMattia) Everson, Sr.
A 1989 graduate of Hodgson Vo-Tech, he was employed by W.L. Gore as a Biomedical Engineer. An avid outdoor sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. A proficient woodworker, he placed 1st in the state and 7th nationally in the annual vocational competition in cabinetry. He enjoyed using his ingenuity and inventiveness to create beautiful home remodeling projects and custom furniture.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Nicholas D. and Dominick J. Everson, both of Chesapeake City, MD; sisters Donna R. Pearl of Weston, FL, and Dawn C. Crockett of Thomasville, PA; and a large extended family and many friends.
A service will be held at 8PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit one hour prior. Burial will be private.
