David Boyd Kegley, 60 years old, of Fair Hill, Maryland, passed away on October 27, 2019 in Wilmington, Delaware. David was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Martha Clark (Bainbridge) and Boyd T. Kegley on January 12, 1959.
He went to school in Harford County, where he earned his GED before studying Business at Wilmington, Delaware. He married Darlene Sue Kegley (Woods) on May 27, 1982 in Elkton, Maryland. He worked as a Compression Operator I at Diamond Shamrock for 21 years before starting his own business, “Better Maid House Cleaning”, 16 years ago.
David spent his free time visiting parks with his wife, making home-made mead, growing medicinal mushrooms, and collecting antique guns and curios. David was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
David is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Darlene Sue Kegley; and his children; Zachary David Kegley and Alarika Paige Kegley.
David is preceded in death by his father, Boyd T. Kegley; sister, Robin Lynn Kegley; and step-father, Carlton Clark.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 South Queen Street Rising Sun, MD 21911, where friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David’s honor may be made payable to “American Heart Association” and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
