Daniel “Danny” Boone Branham, Jr., age 90, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1935, in Mitchellville, MD, to the late Daniel Boone Branham, Sr. and Virginia (Lawrence) Holmes.
Danny will be remembered as a man whose word meant everything. If he gave you his promise, you could count on him without hesitation. His loyalty, strength, and deep sense of honor defined the way he lived his life and the relationships he built along the way. Danny was immensely proud of his Native American heritage and his connection to the Monacan Indian Nation. He faithfully served as a member of the tribal council, dedicating his time and voice to supporting his community and preserving the traditions and values he held close to his heart. He was also a proud member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Danny was the former owner of Elkton Truck City and current owner of JMB Transport. He dedicated his life to the trucking industry. Danny’s presence was larger than life, but it was his honesty, loyalty, and unwavering character that people will remember most. He believed in standing by the people he loved and doing what was right, no matter the circumstance.
Danny is survived by his wife, Kathy Branham; children: Danny Branham and Vera Peterson; step-sons: Steve Vanover, Daniel Jones and Matthew Coffin; grandchildren: Danny Ray Branham, Kristen Miless, Joseph Branham, Danielle Branham, Samantha Jo Branham, Matthew Branham, Kaylee Peterson and Crystal O’Grady; many great-grandchildren, and siblings: Theresa O’Hagan and Larry Branham. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children: Ray Branham and Nancy Lee Branham; and siblings: Vera Schneider, Isabelle Roberts, Bertie Porter, Nancy Dorsey, and Ernie Kent.
Danny’s friends, family and brotherhood are welcome to begin visiting R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street Elkton, MD 21921 on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 12:00PM. A celebration of life will begin at 1:00PM. Colors are welcome.
